The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Remote Reservoir Coilover is a direct bolt-on front-end upgrade for the 1995–2004 Toyota Tacoma — covering SR5, DLX, Pre Runner, and Limited trims — with zero cutting or welding required.
This kit delivers 0–3 inches of height-adjustable lift, giving you room to run tires up to 33x11.50 inches without major modification. We like the 2.5-inch single-tube shock body: the larger piston area produces a genuine damping improvement over stock across mixed terrain, not just pavement. The remote reservoir manages heat during extended off-road use, keeping damping consistent where a standard shock would fade.
Construction is built around 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC-machined components, a CAD-plated steel shock body, and a 7/8-inch induction-hardened chrome shaft. ICON-engineered 650 lb/in linear coil springs are included. FK Rod End bearings reduce deflection and extend service life. Valving is digressive and tuned specifically for the Tacoma's weight and geometry — not a generic tune.
Travel specs: 14.5-inch compressed length, 19.45-inch extended, 4.96 inches of travel. For a balanced build, pair with ICON's 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shocks. Need full geometry correction? Add ICON's Billet (58500DJ) or Tubular (58400DJ) UCA kits.
