ICON 0-3 Inch Lift Front V.S. 2.5 Series Coilover for 1995-2004 Toyota Tacoma

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics V.S. 2.5 Series Front Coilover Kit is a serious suspension upgrade built specifically for the 1995–2004 Toyota Tacoma — covering SR5, DLX, Pre Runner, and Limited trims — and it's one of the more complete front-end solutions we carry for first-gen Tacomas.

The 2.5-inch monotube shock body runs a digressive valving setup with vehicle-specific tuning, delivering a sport-biased feel both on-road and off. The included CDCV (Compression Damping Control Valve) gives you 10 external compression settings — street cruising, rock crawling, or desert running, you dial it in manually without cracking anything open. Height adjustability spans 0–3 inches of lift, and ICON's own coil springs (650 lb/in linear rate) are included. The 7/8-inch induction-hardened, chrome-plated shaft runs inside a CAD-plated steel body. FK rod end bearings handle the lower mount.

One thing to be upfront about: the extended travel length requires aftermarket front upper control arms — ICON's 58500DJ Billet or 58400DJ Tubular UCA kits are the direct add-ons. Installation is fully bolt-on otherwise — no cutting, no welding. Remote reservoir keeps fluid temps in check during sustained hard use.

Recommended fitment: 33x11.50 tires. Larger sizes require fender trimming. ICON Alloys in 17x8.5 (4.75 backspace), 18x9, or 20x9 (both 5-inch backspace) are the wheel pairings worth considering.
