ICON 0-1.5 Inch Lift Rear V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series for 1995-2004 Toyota Tacoma

The ICON V.S. 2.0 Aluminum Series rear shock (part 56502) is a non-reservoir monotube upgrade built specifically for 1995–2004 Toyota Tacoma owners running up to 1.5 inches of rear lift. This is a single shock sold per unit — fits Base, DLX, SR5, Limited, and Pre Runner trims on 4WD and Pre Runner applications. Note: will not fit 2WD Tacoma with 5 wheel lug studs.

The build quality here is substantial. The 2.0-inch body is 6063 anodized aluminum for heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. The shaft is a 5/8-inch chrome-plated hardened steel unit. Internals — rod end, top cap, and structural components — are 6061 aluminum. ICON's linear/digressive piston runs vehicle-specific valving, not an off-the-shelf tune, paired with 5WT shock oil for consistent damping across temperature ranges on road and off.

What we particularly like about this shock is the serviceability story. It's 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable — when it needs refreshing after hard use, you're not buying a new shock. Polyurethane bushings and factory-style mounts keep installation clean.
