Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 270 Awning with Lights, Passenger Side, Black

The Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 270 Awning with Lights is a 270-degree freestanding shelter built from aerospace-grade aluminum with a satin black finish. The 320G blackout fabric blocks sunlight completely, giving you a dark, comfortable space regardless of how intense the conditions get. At 125 square feet of coverage, it delivers serious usable space without requiring supporting poles to stand on its own.

We like the integrated LED lighting on the rear three support rafters — it extends your time outside after dark without needing to rig up separate lighting. The passenger-side configuration ships with all necessary mounting brackets included, so you're not hunting for hardware after the box is open.

Wind ratings matter with freestanding awnings, and OVS publishes theirs clearly: 20–25 mph freestanding with no legs, stakes, or guide ropes, and up to 40 mph maximum using the provided hardware. That's a real number to plan around.

The warranty backs it up — lifetime coverage on the aluminum frame, four years on the fabric. For a shelter you're running in variable conditions, that's the kind of assurance worth noting. This is a serious awning for serious use.
