The FOX Performance Series 2.5 Rear Shock is built for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma owners who want a measurable upgrade over stock damping without sacrificing daily drivability. This is a single rear shock supporting 0–1.5 inches of lift.

The body is impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum with a Type II clear-anodized finish — lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Inside, an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) separates the oil from the nitrogen charge, eliminating aeration and keeping damping consistent whether you're on the highway or running rough terrain. The 5/8-inch hard chrome shaft resists bending and wear under load. High-flow velocity-sensitive valving is what we highlight most here: it reads terrain input and adjusts damping force accordingly, so the ride firms up when it needs to without harshness on smooth roads.
