The OVS SCAR 12P is a 12,000 lb single-line winch built around a 6.5 hp series wound motor that pulls synthetic rope at 42 feet per minute. The 3-stage planetary gear system runs a 218:1 gear ratio through a rotating ring gear clutch, and the automatic out-of-drum braking system uses a military-spec cone built into the motor — zero creep, zero heat bleed during high-stress pulls.

IP68 waterproofing keeps the internals sealed in full submersion conditions. The 500A heavy-duty solenoid handles consistent electrical demand, and OVS specifies a 650 CCA minimum battery to keep performance reliable. The 10 inch x 4.5 inch bolt pattern covers standard winch plate mounting. Overall dimensions are 21.3 inch L x 6.3 inch W x 7.9 inch H at 66 lbs.

The 3/8 inch x 85 foot synthetic rope is lighter and safer than wire under a snap load. It ships with an aluminum hawse fairlead, heavy-duty hook with clip, and a wireless remote that includes an 11.5-foot lead and a built-in lithium battery. The engagement handle is machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum.
