Nomadic 3 Standard Roof Top Tent 3 Person Roof Top Tent Overland Vehicle Systems

The Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 3 is a 3-person roof top tent built around materials that hold up where generic tents fail. The base is a double-insulated, one-piece black diamond-plated construction. The body uses 600D poly cotton rip stop canvas with PU3000 waterproofing, and every seam in both the body and the 420D polyester Oxford rainfly is heat-sealed. Marine grade 304 stainless steel handles all the hinges and hardware.

We like the structural logic here. Oversized body poles combined with V-strength ridges integrated into the window rods address wind stability directly — not as an afterthought. The 96-inch aluminum telescoping ladder includes a locking strap and quick-release steel hinges. Inside, a 3-inch high-density foam mattress sits on the insulated base, and both the rainfly and tent body include an integrated skylight.

The included feature set is genuinely useful: 4 built-in interior storage pouches, a removable 40-inch velcro light strip, 2 short and 4 long window rods, and 120G fade-less glaze breathable windows for ventilation. Ergonomic heavy-duty buckles make cinching the tent down straightforward.

OVS backs the Nomadic 3 with a 4-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. For a shelter you're mounting above your rig and trusting in variable conditions, that warranty coverage matters.
