The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Delta Joint Install Press Adapter Tube & Tapered Shim Kit (Part #614520) is a steel installation tool designed specifically for retrofitting the ICON Delta Joint into ICON billet aluminum upper control arms that have an angled bearing bore. This is a purpose-built adapter — not a workaround — and that specificity matters when you're pressing in a precision joint.

The kit includes the press adapter tube and a tapered angled shim, which together keep the Delta Joint properly aligned and protected during installation. We like that ICON engineered this to actively reduce the chance of damaging the Delta Joint during the press process — the joint itself isn't cheap, and a botched install without the right tooling is an avoidable mistake.

Note the application details before ordering: this kit (614520) is correct when the ICON billet UCA has an angled bearing bore. If your UCA does not have an angled bore, ICON's Part #614519 is the correct adapter — it does not include the tapered shim. You'll also need an 8" ball joint C-clamp or a comparable press tool to complete the install; that's not included here.
