Build Complexity Guide
Find Your Build Level
Every Tacoma owner has a different vision. Whether you're adding a subtle lift for better ground clearance or building a purpose-driven off-road machine, 4x4 Mega Store has you covered. Use this guide to find where your build falls — and shop accordingly.
Level 1 — Mild: The Daily Driver Upgrade
You drive your Tacoma every day and want to improve its look and capability without going overboard. These mods are bolt-on, beginner-friendly, and won't affect your warranty.
- Leveling kits (1–2")
- All-terrain tires (stock size or +1)
- Bed accessories and storage
- Lighting upgrades (headlights, taillights)
- Floor liners and interior protection
Level 2 — Moderate: The Weekend Warrior
You hit the trails on weekends but still need a reliable daily. These upgrades improve off-road performance while keeping street manners intact.
- Lift kits (2–3")
- Upgraded shocks and struts
- Skid plates and underbody protection
- Recovery gear (tow straps, shackles)
- Auxiliary lighting (light bars, fog lights)
Level 3 — Wild: The Purpose-Built Off-Roader
Your Tacoma is built for one thing: conquering terrain. These builds require more investment, professional installation, and a commitment to the lifestyle.
- Long travel suspension systems (4"+)
- Beadlock wheels and aggressive mud tires
- Front and rear bumpers with winch mounts
- Full skid plate systems
- Roof racks, overland setups, and camping gear
- Performance shocks (Fox, King, Bilstein)
