Overland Vehicle Systems Sherpa S3S Soft-Sided Roof Top Tent, 3-Person, Grey/Black

The OVS Sherpa S3S is a soft-sided roof top tent built for three people who want a fast, capable shelter without the bulk of a hard shell. The coverless design cuts setup and pack-down to roughly 3 minutes each — no separate cover to wrestle with, no extra step before you're road-ready.

The shell is built from 320G rip-stop poly-cotton with a military-spec waterproof seal, and the base is black aluminum honeycomb — strong without adding unnecessary weight. Inside, a 2.0-inch high-density foam mattress sits over an anti-condensation mat, and a blackout interior coating keeps the sleeping area dark regardless of when you're turning in. Window screens use 120G environmental fadeless breathable gauze, and integrated prop rods hold windows open for airflow.

Closed dimensions run 60.5 x 47.5 x 13.75 inches. Open, the tent extends to 95 x 56 x 54 inches with an 82 x 54-inch sleeping area. Two nitrogen gas-charged struts manage the open-close cycle. A removable rain fly reveals an integrated skylight. The unit stores bedding inside when closed, and hardware plus a storage rack are included.

We recommend this tent for buyers who prioritize a fast deployment cycle and a genuinely waterproof shell over the lower-profile look of a hard shell. The anti-condensation mat and blackout coating are details OVS actually engineered in — not afterthoughts.
