Overland Vehicle Systems Sherpa S2S Soft-Sided Roof Top Tent, 2-Person, Grey/Black

The OVS Sherpa S2S is a soft-sided roof top tent built for two, and the specs back it up. Closed, it sits at 60.5 x 47.5 x 13.75 inches — compact enough to travel without constant wind drag. Open, it expands to 95 x 56 x 54 inches with an 82 x 54-inch sleeping area, giving two people real room to stretch out. Setup and pack-down each run about 3 minutes, driven by two nitrogen gas-charged struts that do the heavy lifting.

Construction is where this tent earns its keep. The body is 320G rip-stop poly-cotton, the base is black aluminum, and the seal meets a military-spec waterproof grade. A 2.0-inch high-density foam mattress and an anti-condensation mat are included — so you're not sleeping on a thin pad with moisture building underneath. The blackout interior coating blocks light completely, and removing the rain fly opens an integrated skylight.

We like the coverless design: no separate shell to wrestle with or store. Interior space is large enough to stow bedding when closed, so you're not repacking everything on departure. Optional cross bars expand storage capacity if you need to carry additional gear on the same mount.

At 141 lbs., this is a serious piece of kit. Hardware and a storage rack are included. If you want a soft-shell tent that skips the compromises on material quality, sleeping comfort, and weather sealing, the Sherpa S2S is the one we point customers toward.
