UltraHook Rope Guard Factor 55

The Factor 55 UltraHook Rope Guard is a dedicated winch rope end protector built specifically for the full-size UltraHook. It shields exposed synthetic rope from UV degradation, impact, and abrasion — the three most common ways synthetic rope fails in the field. This is a sold-separately add-on to your existing UltraHook setup.

We like the material choice here: billet 6061 aluminum with a clear anodized finish for corrosion resistance. That's not stamped sheet metal — it's a machined guard that holds up when things get rough. The silver clearcoat finish also reflects heat rather than absorbing it, which matters when synthetic rope and sun are a bad combination.

Installation is straightforward — four drive rivets secure the guard, no special tooling required. Once mounted, all exposed rope surfaces sit behind the guard and fairlead. That positioning also lets you run the Rope Guard as a skid surface on vertical obstacle climbs, protecting the rope while you work the winch. Engineered and manufactured in the USA.
