UltraHook Closed System Winch Shackle Mount Factor 55

The Factor 55 UltraHook is a precision CNC-machined winch hook built from 7075 aluminum with a Type-II anodized black finish. It accepts steel cable and synthetic rope up to 3/8 inch in diameter, attaches via an included 5/8 inch diameter 6Al-4V titanium double shear pin, and carries a 16,000 lb max load rating. The shackle mount hole machined into the hook's body accepts screw pins from common 3/4 inch and soft shackles up to 1/2 inch — no rope splicing required.

What separates this hook from standard hardware is the dual-function design. Run it as a conventional hook or a true closed system shackle mount. The safety latch locks into a machined pocket, and the latch pin — stored in the hook body — inserts into the hook tip to complete the closed loop. That's a meaningful safety step up from hooks with no secondary lock.

We also like that Factor 55 integrated EPDM rubber pads so the hook stores flat against your fairlead — hawse or roller — without metal-to-metal contact and without rattling.
