S1 Hitch Light Kit Universal Baja Designs

The Baja Designs S1 Hitch Light Kit mounts a high-output S1 LED directly into any standard 2-inch hitch receiver — giving you a purpose-built lighting solution that goes where you point it. At 2,320 lumens from a 6W / 1.4A draw, this light punches hard without taxing your electrical system.

Baja Designs offers two wiring configurations, and we think that choice matters. The Trailer Hitch Kit uses a 7-pin trailer connector for true plug-and-play installation — put the vehicle in reverse and the S1 fires automatically. The Toggle Switch Model gives you on-demand control: run it as a chase light on the trail, light up a campsite, or illuminate a worksite whenever you need it — not just when reversing.

What's included depends on the kit you choose. The Trailer Adapter version comes with the S1 (Wide Cornering, Clear lens), trailer hitch adapter harness, hitch mount bracket, and all necessary hardware. The Toggle Switch version adds a 10-foot extension harness — useful for larger vehicles where the standard lead falls short. Note: a locking hitch pin is not included with either kit.

If you're running a full-size vehicle with the Trailer Hitch option, we recommend adding the 10-ft extension harness (PN 640165), available as an add-on. The bracket is durable, the wiring is straightforward, and 2,320 lumens out of a hitch receiver is a genuinely useful amount of light.
