The Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 270 is a driver-side awning that deploys 129 square feet of freestanding covered shelter in a one-man operation — no poles required for initial setup. Six built-in boxed aluminum rafters and a pair of reinforced oversized hinges hold the structure without any ground support, which is a meaningful difference from frame-dependent designs.

The cover is 600D poly cotton rip-stop with heat-sealed seams, keeping water out at the stitch lines, not just the fabric. When conditions get serious, three pivoting and telescoping aluminum poles plus three additional telescoping poles deploy quickly using a quick-lock system. Tie-down points, six sets of shock cord, six heavy-duty stakes, and ballistic nylon tie-downs with S-connects and buckles give you real anchoring options in wind and rain.

The included wall system zips directly onto the Nomadic 270, extending the shelter envelope and blocking wind, rain, and sun from the sides. When it's time to pack up, everything stows into a 1000G PVC travel cover. Open dimensions run 240 x 157 x 88.5 inches; packed down, the unit closes to 88 x 7 x 6 inches.
