FlatLink XXL Winch Shackle Mount Assembly Anodized Gray Factor 55

The Factor 55 FlatLink XXL is the first foldable winch shackle mount built around a self-centering load spool — a meaningful engineering step beyond a standard hook or screw-pin shackle. It handles wire rope diameters up to 3/4" and synthetic rope tube thimbles up to 5/8", and accepts shackle pin diameters of 1 1/8". The titanium double shear pin measures 7/8" in diameter, minimum breaking strength is 65,000 lbs, and max rated load is 26,000 lbs.

We like this mount because conventional winch hooks create two problems: they can cut and fray recovery straps, and they allow strap ends to escape during slack cycles mid-recovery. The FlatLink XXL eliminates both. The closed-loop shackle design keeps strap loops captured even when tension drops, and no splicing is required thanks to the double shear pin configuration.

Construction is CNC-machined 6000 series billet aluminum with a Mil-Spec Hard Anodized finish meeting Mil-A-8625 F Type III — that's not a cosmetic coating, it's a hardness standard. The integrated EPDM rubber guards, secured with 4 barbed tips, protect alloy fairleads on both roller and hawse setups.
