FlatLink Winch Shackle Mount Assembly Factor 55

The Factor 55 FlatLink is a folding shackle mount that replaces a conventional winch hook with a precision-machined, 6061 aluminum alternative — Type-II anodized in black. It's the first folding shackle mount designed for recovery winches, and the numbers behind it are serious: 16,000 lb max load rating and an ultimate failure threshold above 40,000 lb.

Conventional winch hooks cut and fray recovery straps and let strap ends escape during slack cycles. The FlatLink eliminates that. A 3/4" screw pin or soft shackle seats in the precision shackle mounting hole, keeping the connection locked even when line tension drops. The cable eye is retained by a 5/8" diameter Grade 5 steel double shear pin with an internal snap ring — no splicing required. It handles steel cable and synthetic rope up to 3/8" in diameter.

At less than 1.75" thick when folded flat, it stows clean against roller or hawse fairleads. The EPDM rubber guards — secured by 4 barbed tips — protect alloy fairleads and cushion line stowage. Total weight is 23 ounces. Engineered, tested, and made in the USA.
