Economy Needle Charging Tool Icon Vehicle Dynamics

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Economy Needle Charging Tool is a dedicated service tool for recharging nitrogen in ICON internal reservoir shock absorbers equipped with self-sealing charge ports. Without it, there's no clean way to service the nitrogen charge — the charge port plug requires a hypodermic needle to pierce it, allow nitrogen to pass through, and then self-seal upon removal. That's exactly what this tool is built to do.

Construction is CNC machined brass throughout — corrosion-resistant, durable, and appropriate for pressurized nitrogen service environments. The tool uses a replaceable 20 GA x 1-inch hypodermic needle and connects to a standard nitrogen supply hose via 1/4-inch NPT threads. The replaceable needle design keeps long-term service costs low.

We like that ICON engineered this specifically around their proprietary charge port geometry rather than leaving customers to guess at a generic workaround. For occasional shock service use, this is the correct, purpose-built solution. Note: a high-pressure nitrogen tank and regulator are required separately — this tool handles the interface, not the nitrogen source itself.
